It’s Walk 16 under the tab of the same name & was sent in by the ‘Radical Rambler’ who starts it from his home in Staverton & walks to Badby & its fantastic wood. Walk 98 on the “Outside” tab, Friday 20th October: We’re going to shortly start writing up the first of our 3 walks in South Africa near Storms River. Having explored the centre of the village with its medieval Packhorse Bridge and pretty church, the route leads you out through arable fields to reach the nearby old mansion, Nevill Holt. Thursday 3rd December: There’s a fabulous “Caravan Cafe” called “Brew” that’s quickly growing an amazing reputation. Walks in Northamptonshire are rich in low hills, rolling farmland and lake loops with pretty market towns along the way. Even the sun came out at the end, Friday 17th July: We’re getting ready for Edinburgh next week, but in the meantime Walk 71’s now there to be seen around Great Doddington & Summer Leys Nature Reserve. Walk 118: Lamport Circular Walk: Spot the mushroom! It’s a stroll around the beautiful beaches & golf course of Lossiemouth, Scotland provided by our friends Alec & Anne Stewart. See what you think, Tuesday 30th October: Anyone would think that if you walked the straight line from Trafalgar Square, along the Strand & Fleet Street to St Paul’s Cathedral, you’d probably know it very well – bet you don’t! Walk 144: Grasmere & Rydal Waters & the ‘Coffin Route’ Circular walk. It’s Walk 135 under the ‘Walks outside Northamptonshire’ tab. Wednesday 28th October: A little bit late, as it’s been a busy day, but here’s a Brand New Northamptonshire Walk! The pace of life was still slower, it was still as beautiful & the walks were amazingly marked & just as stunning. Northamptonshire Round The 50 mile circular walking route taking in the pleasant countryside around Northampton was created by the local walking group the Ten Foot Club in 2003. Now have 4 in production…busy busy! Check it out now. Wonder who they could belong to?? The East Northamptonshire Greenway (the Greenway) makes attractive and safer walking and cycling routes available in the heart of the Nene Valley.. Coming soon…. I think you’ve done that. Northamptonshire - Ditchford Cicular. Lots of history & great views, Wednesday 6th May: A ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ is now there to see – walk 35 under ‘Walks outside Northamptonshire’ It’s a cracker! Monday 29th June: It’s going to be hot, hot hot over the next few days so, if you’re out there walking, get that high factor cream on! It is looking better for the weekend though so walking boots at the ready, Saturday 9th March: It’s forecast for another wet & windy weekend so why not take the opportunity to visit one of the Shire’s beautiful Country Homes. Walk 32: Litchborough & Farthingstone Circular – a little cardio exercise! Wednesday 7th January: Had a nice stroll around Abington Park today & fun stalking a Green Woodpecker. Monday 25th November: We’re planning walks in the north of the county this week…watch this space…, Sunday 24th November: Spent a day in Bedford & although 1 bridge across a path closed still had a great little walk around the river area. Am thinking my first outside Northamptonshire walk may be a classic I’ve done several times in one of my favourite places…The New Forest.
